New User manuals
Mar 1, 2008
New Version 5.2.1 Includes a calculation
feature for traverse shear stress in plate elements. User manuals
and help updated.
Build 5.2.1004 provides a change that
allows some of the viewing tools to be used during dynamic model
animation. Also the Results viewing dialogs are made so that they
can continue to be displayed during other activities. This build
also includes some minor improvements to the dialogs for applying group
names to selected elements and nodes.
Build 5.2.1005 fixes a bug in the
traverse shear output (Txz) which sometimes rendered the result as zero.
Revised the 'Deep beam' element to allow direct input of effective shear
area in two dimensions and dispense with the form factor. This
version includes additional changes to the help file and the sample files
that reflect the changes to the deep beam element properties.
Build 5.2.1006 provides some changes to
help dealing with very large models. The bandwidth manager is more
efficient on certain types of models. Features were added to the
bandwidth manager to allow searching from model-selected points.
Memory usage information distinguishes between model usage and solution
usage of memory. An alternate solution process, albeit very slow, is
provided for models that may otherwise trigger an out-of-memory error. See
Help for information on these changes.
Build 5.2.1007 added a minor improvement
to the geodesic generator utility to allow dual eccentricity values to be
used on two independent axes (the same feature as in the geodesic
application CADRE Geo 6).
Build 5.2.1008 reconfigures the
installation file to include the section property files so that all files
are installed in a single download and install operation. There is
no reason to do this update if you have already updated with the previous
build and already have the the separate section property files.
